Argo AI Partners with Universities for Self-Driving Cars Research

Argo AI, a Pittsburgh-based startup developing self-driving technology for Ford, has partnered up with researchers from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Georgia Tech to develop systems that "can readily interpret and anticipate the 3-D world."

Nov. 21, 2017—Argo AI, a Pittsburgh-based startup developing self-driving technology for Ford, has partnered up with researchers from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Georgia Tech to develop systems that "can readily interpret and anticipate the 3-D world," said a CMU researcher in a post from Argo AI outlining what their research will render. 

Deva Ramanan and Simon Lucey from CMU and James Hays from Georgia Tech will join the Argo team. 

Their research will help Argo-developed self-driving cars better identify people on the road.
