June 20, 2018—Data privacy for businesses is a continually growing concern, especially in the wake of Facebook’s Cambridge Analytica scandal. Now, the tech news outlet Engaget is reporting that Facebook is partnering with TeachPrivacy in the U.S. for community events held to train small and medium businesses on customer data protection.

The sessions will be held in Baltimore, New Orleans, San Diego, Palo Alto and Edison, New Jersey.

The social media company has also brought on security consultancy HackerOne to educate mobile startup developers via the FbStart program. This will focus on getting mobile apps secure and helping them stay that way as they grow. Facebook also promises to continue building its educational efforts around data privacy in the coming months.
