August 22, 2018—A nationwide News4 I-Team investigation found more than 200 drivers of the 2015-2016 Ford F-150 pickup trucks filed complaints with the government that the brakes on their trucks are failing without warning, reported WSMV.
Most of the complaints filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration share the same description: that the brakes push all the way to the floor and the vehicle does not stop, according to the report.
According to WSMV, documents filed with NHTSA show Ford has been aware of the complaints since 2016 and has not issued a recall.
The News4 I-Team read every complaint filed with NHTSA about the Ford F150s in the 2015 and 2016 model years, and found complaints in 38 states.
