Oct. 31, 2018—Universal Technical Institute recently opened its new campus in Bloomfield, NJ. The facility becomes UTI’s thirteenth campus.
UTI-Bloomfield will give students throughout New Jersey and the region high-tech, hands-on training in automotive and diesel service technology and, ideally, prepare them to fill high-demand careers in the transportation industry.
The metropolitan campus will largely serve a commuter population and, with ample access to public transit, allow students to live and work from home while they train. Additionally, programs are designed to provide students with flexible schedules and a reduction in the overall cost of their education.
During last week’s grand opening of the New Jersey campus, Ford Motor Company announced that it will offer its Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) at the school. The 15-week advanced program trains students to work with Ford’s technology, computer diagnostics, electrical and diesel technologies.
What’s more, the UTI-Bloomfield campus features a 108,000-square foot facility. The school is expected to provide schooling to as many as 800 students per year in the Tri-State area. UTI said in a press release that the New Jersey campus represents a more than $11 million investment by UTI in the region. UTI students will typically take either a 45-week diesel program or a 51-week core automotive program.
