July 9, 2018—Snap-on has introduced a new impact wrench, the PT650, which is a hard-handled version of the PT850.

Following in the footsteps of the PT850, the PT650 features a new housing, nose piece, trigger and improved internals. Cold forged hammers and precision machined frame and anvil create tighter tolerances and load distribution producing harder-hitting blows and greater durability.

The PT650 features one-handed forward and reverse selection, as well as a large, simple, four-position power level adjustment. It is engineered to be a comfortable-to-use tool for all-day work.

Materials used in the PT650 provide less porous, solid components to deliver bolt breakaway torque of 950 foot-pounds, torque reverse of 650 foot-pounds, torque forward of 480 foot pounds, RPM free speed of 5,600, and the ability to strike 1,100 blows per minute.

The PT650 is made at the Snap-on manufacturing facility in Murphy, N.C.
