Mike's Auto Body Donates Refurbished Cars to Calif. Veterans
Nov. 6, 2019
Partnering with Hertz and USAA, the presentation is set for Friday, November 8, at Mike’s Auto Body.
Nov. 6, 2019—On Friday, November 8, two veterans from Fairfield, Calif. will experience a life-changing event—the presentation of vehicles to provide them independence and the ability to work and take care of their families, thanks to Mike’s Auto Body and car donors Hertz and USAA, along with the National Auto Body Council™ Recycled Rides® program.
The presentation will be held at the Veterans Day Celebration at Mike’s Auto Body in Fairfield, Calif.
The first recipient is Chris Coffelt, a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Coffelt has worked for local company Bowhead for the past five years as lead technician on several building rewire projects. He is a husband and father to two daughters, 6 and 3 years old. In his spare time Chris is involved with two veteran non-profit organizations and is the team leader for team Red White and Blue Solano chapter. Coffelt works hard as a single earner for his family and travels long distances to serve the veterans’ population, and his aging vehicle requires costly repairs. The gift of reliable transportation will allow him to take care of his family and continue to serve veterans in need.
The second recipient will be announced at the event, held at Mike’s Auto Body (Fairfield, Calif.) beginning at noon.
