Aug. 21, 2018—In a survey of more than 3,000 auto insurance customers, USAA recently earned the No. 1 ranking.
Insure.com on Monday released the results of a survey in which roughly 3,100 insurance customers of 20 leading car insurance companies were asked to rank the best companies for auto insurance. Survey respondents gave ratings based on factors such as: customer service, claims handling, pricing, merit of websites and apps, and plans to renew their policy.
American Family and Allstate tied for second place, as both posted overall scores of 88.34 out of 100, narrowly trailing USAA’s top score of 89.98. On the other end of the spectrum, Travelers finished last among the 20 leading car insurance companies, posting an overall score of 81.34, with rankings of just 78 in both the “value for price” and “website and apps” categories.
