The new John Bean® Tru-Point™ is a revolutionary new advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) calibration tool and the only all-in-one solution on the market that allows shops to validate if the vehicle meets the OEM-required alignment specifications, as well as the proper target placement procedures.

John Bean Tru-Point is equipped with top-of-the-line software technology and allows for one-person operation, saving time and eliminating the need for extensive training. Simple, real-time and visual target placement instructions will allow a shop to streamline the ADAS calibration process from beginning to end.

Tru-Point fully audits the vehicle’s alignment and closely monitors each step of the setup procedure, making sure that the process has been completed to meet OEM safety specifications before an ADAS calibration procedure. By eliminating manual measurements with advanced camera technology, technicians can rest assured that everything is placed correctly and the system will automatically compensate for the location of the vehicle.

“While most systems function by referencing the height of the vehicle from the shop floor, our system measures the height of the targets from the tire contact patch of all four wheels, allowing for the vehicle to be calibrated anywhere in the shop, even on an alignment rack,” said Jordan Krebs, product manager for John Bean.

Users will receive a full report at the completion, providing data that validates the unique measurement properties and wheel alignment specs.

“Tru-Point takes ADAS recalibration to the next level. This ground-breaking system enables the vehicle’s drive direction toward safety and provides the highest level of precision for placing ADAS targets,” said Mariana Montovaneli, director of marketing for John Bean. “We are excited to introduce a unique system that not only ensures accurate target placement and validation, but also reduces set-up time and increases shop productivity.”

Known for delivering accurate measurements that help shops operate more efficiently, perform faster repairs and increase the bottom line, John Bean provides customers with a complete array of ADAS products to help shops improve performance and expand their ADAS calibration business.
