Dec. 27, 2012—Registration and event sponsorship is now available for the Collision Repair Education Foundation's 12th annual golf fundraiser, an event meant to raise monetary support for school collision repair programs.
The golf fundraiser will take place July 25 at the South Shore Country Club in Boston. The event will be held in conjunction with the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) and I-CAR industry meetings that are scheduled for the same week.
In addition to golf, the fundraiser will include a “Helicopter Golf Ball Drop” contest. The contest, sponsored by LORD Corp., allows individuals to sponsor a golf ball that will be dropped from a helicopter over one of the holes on the golf course. The sponsor of the golf ball that lands closest to the hole will win a $1,000 American Express gift card. The Education Foundation said 1,500 golf balls will be sold, and can be sponsored for $25 per ball, or $100 for five balls.
The event is open to all collision repair industry professionals. Early bird registration is available for $225 per person through April 1. Registration after that date is $275 per person. Participation includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, complimentary beverages and snacks, lunch, dinner, promotional items and several contests.
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Education Foundation encourages participants to register soon as last year’s event sold out six months in advance. People interested in registering for the event should contact Brandon Eckenrode, director of development for the Education Foundation, at [email protected].
