Welcome to day 4 of CREF-Mas!
As we continue to showcase our scholarship winners, we recently had the opportunity to learn about fellow scholarship winner Justin Arace's virtual shop tour experience. The shop tour is part of the application process but not just as a box to check but as an opportunity to engage with employers and truly see what it would be like to work in this field. Todays highlighted scholarship winner had a chance to visit a collision repair facility in person and really took the time to take it all in.
On the 4th Day of CREF-Mas we bring to you…
Hanna Selzler, a student at Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho. She is the recipient of the 2021 PPG Foundation Scholarship. Some things to know about Hanna are she loves refinishing, will be graduating in May, and titled her essay, "It Started with a Mini-Cooper".
Hanna's Shop Tour Experience...
"I was taken through the shop and shown a bit about how it runs. First, I was shown the front office/waiting area. It was cool to see how they run things in the main area of the shop. Next I was shown the body area. It was split into two sections, one for each body man that works at the shop. The next room was the paint area. I really liked the paint booth that they had! Finally there was the finishing area. There was one guy who works in that area and he does all the washing and buffing."
