NABR announces the official launch of the Variable Rate System (VRS) Procedures Document Search functionality--an online, searchable library of documents, showing insurers paying for not-included procedures and operations, and what labor rate was paid.

Included with every VRS subscription, this document search library provides shops access to information from documents such as insurer estimates, shop estimates, repair orders, final invoices, and checks, as well as insurer claim numbers, that prove that a particular insurer paid a shop somewhere for a certain procedure.

"When our research found significant inconsistency both among insurers paying shops for not-included procedures and among shops not always asking to be paid, we determined to find a solution to help level the playing field," said Sam Valenzuela, President of NABR.

"Now, with just a few clicks, a shop can select an insurer and a not-included procedure and search the entire VRS document library to find proof of that insurer paying a shop for that procedure. We think if one shop gets paid for that work, then all shops who do that work should get paid."

To help their industry and help other shops nationwide collect payment for their work performing not-included operations, any shop may voluntarily submit documents to NABR for inclusion in the online document library. There is no charge or compensation for submitting documents, and submission is not required to participate in any VRS survey or subscribe to the VRS system.

To see the innovative VRS document search functionality for themselves, any shop may request a free, no-obligation demo of the VRS, to see firsthand how the system can help them collect higher labor rates, get paid for more procedures, and generate greater profits.
