J&R Collision Centers has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Halbrook Auto Body & Paint, Inc of Shelbyville, Ill., growing their footprint to three locations.
"Brian and Cindy Halbrook have spent nearly three decades building a first-class collision center for the Shelbyville community. We couldn't be happier that they chose to pass the torch to us so we can continue to provide the Shelbyville community with the highest level of service," said Jake Buhnerkempe, co-founder of J&R Collision Centers. "This is a big step forward for us, as our goal is to continually reach out to area communities to provide them with first-class service."
Halbrook Auto Body has been in business for three decades, ran by Brian and Cindy Halbrook. J&R Collision Centers is the father and son duo of Roger and Jake Buhnerkempe of Effingham.
"The Shelbyville community is a close-knit community, similar to that of Effingham. We look forward to not only continuing the quality service for that area, but also the positive impacts we can make in the Shelbyville area through our community-drive initiatives," Buhnerkempe said. J&R Collision Centers has participated in numerous community/charitable initiatives within their respected communities.
According to Buhnerkempe, all Halbrook Auto Body employees will transition with the acquisition and remain with the collision center. He also pointed out they have added additional personnel to the administration staff at the Effingham location, to assist with the workload added by the additional location.
Monday, April 4 will be the first day of operation for the Shelbyville location as J&R Collision Centers of Shelbyville.
