As the Society of Collision Repair Specialists' (SCRS') newest Corporate Member, Arrowhead General Insurance Agency joins an illustrious group of companies who have shown their support of SCRS' mission to represent and inform all aspects of the collision repair industry. This news was announced in the final minutes of SCRS' Association Address on Nov. 5 by Gerry Cecil, vice president of sales and marketing for Arrowhead's Automotive Aftermarket program.   With dues check in hand, Cecil addressed the crowd gathered around the Collision Repair & Refinish stage of the North Hall at the 2013 SEMA Show, proudly proclaiming the company's intent to align with SCRS' mission of education and open communication. "Our relationship with SCRS dates back to the early 1990s, and we are extremely proud to once again be working with the association," he stated. "We have always recognized and revered SCRS' footprint and what they bring to their members, from advocacy to the sharing of pertinent industry information. We are greatly looking forward to fostering a relationship that benefits all members of the collision repair industry. This is a wonderful fit for us." Arrowhead, a Program Administrator for Zurich North America Commercial (formerly Universal Underwriters), provides an extensive range of insurance products nationwide that are specialized in serving the Automotive Aftermarket. The program has a defined focus to help meet the specific coverage needs of today's collision repair professional. This "total package" of products includes:
  • Garagekeeper's liability
  • Used car sales
  • Fleet auto exposure
  • Pollution liability
  • Accessibility to worker's compensation
  • Consultation on health care reform options

In addition to basic coverage needs, one of the most talked-about issues for small business owners in 2013 is the influence the Affordable Care Act will have on their livelihoods. As Cecil says, Arrowhead can also offer assistance in this area to help members choose what's right for their businesses: "As collision repair shop owners begin evaluating their options regarding health care insurance, we are prepared to provide them with information, tools and resources. Our knowledge base can help these business owners navigate the changes and ultimately make informed decisions that work best for them."

"Arrowhead is a company which is working hard to help alleviate a very real worry for many collision repairers out there, and we are proud to welcome them as one of our newest supporters," notes SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg. "While Arrowhead's membership is new, the history of involvement of the leaders within their organization certainly is not. It is allegiance from companies and individuals like these that help us in our efforts to educate and promote the industry as a whole, and we sincerely appreciate their involvement."
