The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) elected Carol Waldron of State Farm Mutual Insurance Co. to its board of directors.

She joined the company fulltime in 1986 as an auto claims representative In 1994, Waldron moved to the Florida Region as a section manager, and then joined the Northeastern Region as an assistant division manager in 1998. The following year, she was promoted to claims manager, responsible for Auto Claims in metropolitan New York. In 2004, she was promoted to Director of the Business and Technology Integration Office at State Farm’s corporate headquarters. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President in Learning & Development in 2008 and in 2009 became the Assistant Vice President of Consulting Services in property and casualty claims.

Carol’s extensive background contributes to the broad range of industry expertise and organizations who’ve joined together on CAPA’s board to keep repairs affordable, cars repairable, and protect consumers from poor quality,” said Jack Gillis, Executive Director of the non-profit association. “State Farm, and many other diverse organizations, joining together in CAPA, provide a unique insight into issues facing the aftermarket parts industry and make an important contribution to CAPA’s continuing success.
