In celebration of the brand’s 90th anniversary, OTC will be highlighting its heritage through a partnership with noted fabricator and custom vehicle builder Bryan Fuller. His shop, Fuller Moto, reimagined an OTC Tool Truck in a tribute to one of the company’s most iconic business ventures, next to the puller. The custom, one-off vehicle will commemorate the panel tool trucks which paved the way for the company’s success, showcasing the reliable tools and equipment for which OTC has been known for more than 90 years. At the booth, technicians can face off against one another in a diagnostic challenge, competing to win an Encore diagnostics kit or other OTC tools. Techs will use either the Encore, 3211, 3210 or the newly-announced Evolve diagnostic tool on vehicle simulators based on real-world issues. OTC will debut the new 6637-ST Strut Tamer II Extreme with stand, a new solution helping technicians quickly and safely replace strut springs. The new Strut Tamer compresses large strut springs with an improved design, offering faster clamping and greater compressing force. Also in the booth, Robinair will be highlighting the most efficient line of mobile A/C recovery machines in North America. Three Robinair machines recover at least 98.5 percent of refrigerant, more than any other machine on the market. The Robinair AC 1234-6, 34788NI and 34988NI machines help technicians recover more refrigerant, saving them time and money with the ability to use more recovered refrigerant. OTC is laying out its 2016 SEMA booth, #10171, to recognize the old and the new. A fully restored, OTC-branded 1930’s Ford delivery truck is a nod to the company’s past as one of the first mobile tool selling manufacturers. Next to the vintage truck will be all-new specialty tools, equipment and diagnostics for technicians to try and demo. Technicians can compete to win an OTC Encore or a forged steel bottle opener, made in OTC’s Owatonna, Minnesota factory. Techs can also play vintage video games in between challenging other for diagnostic supremacy. The 2016 SEMA show takes place in Las Vegas, November 1 – 4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
