For the first time, a collection of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will participate in a NACE pavilion setting allowing attendees to visit with many of the top automakers in one area at one time.

The current list includes Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Porsche, Toyota, Volvo and VW. More are expected to join them by show time at the upcoming International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS). The two shows are sponsored by Automotive Service Association (ASA) and co-located at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 4-7, during the second annual Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW).

“Auto manufacturers understand and appreciate the value and opportunity NACE and CARS provide, as shown by their attendance year after year,” says Chris Caris, the administrator of the OEM Collision Repair Roundtable for PCGCampbell who is working on this project. “Although this past year has been a tough one industry-wide, the OEMs want to be there. It's their best chance to meet with their loyal customers and talk about ways to improve the collision and mechanical repair processes, along with other issues that are important to both them and the industry as a whole."

Each OEM will have qualified company representation in their booths available to talk parts and repair details, as well as their newest products and technologies with expo attendees.

“A solid showing by the OEMs is both exciting and encouraging as we move forward as an industry,” says Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. “Some of them have overcome major challenges this year and we appreciate them recognizing the value their presence will have to our attendees.”
